The MB2 is a hidden fourth canal often found in upper molars. It is nearly impossible to see with the naked eye. If missed by a general dentist, it will remain infected. Dr. Evi uses the High-Magnification Microscope specifically to locate and treat this canal.
A standard X-ray is a 2D “shadow” that can hide infections behind the root. Our 2026 CBCT Imaging provides a 3D map, allowing us to see the exact shape of your canals and the true extent of the bone loss before we start the procedure.
In Advanced Endodontics, we use biocompatible “Bioceramic” materials to seal the tooth. Unlike older materials, bioceramics are recognized by the body, promoting bone healing at the root tip and creating a permanent, bacteria-proof barrier.
If an infection persists at the root tip despite a perfect root canal, we perform an Apicoectomy. We surgically remove the infected root tip (just 3mm) and place a specialized seal. This is the “last line of defense” before considering a Dental Implant.
A tooth cannot be saved if it has a vertical root fracture (a crack extending down the root) or if the bone support is completely lost. Dr. Evi’s “Art of Decision” process ensures you receive a transparent biological assessment of whether to save the tooth or move toward an extraction.
