This is done by a principle known as Photobiomodulation (PBM). The cells in the bone and within and surroundings are then energized, due to the absorption of the laser light on the mitochondria of the cells. This cellular activity boosts the activity of bone-building cells (osteoblasts) and bone resorbing cells (osteoclasts) causing an acceleration of the bone remodeling process and more predictable bone remodeling.
